Mattias Goonetilkeke has left his home and found his way to Newcastle colony, where he needs to find work as quick as he can. As a freelancer, he checks out the opportunities on the Lancer Network hoping to find something that pays well. He also hooks up with some previous colleagues on a job, alongside his solo contract.

Things are never what they seem when you bid on a Lancer opportunity and Go has his fair share of events that have him rethinking his decision making and ability to sift through the facts to find out what is going on. 

As Go learns more about his contracts, clients and colleagues, his world and his choices become tougher and tougher, especially as he is worried about someone vulnerable too. 

Time is against him and the team to resolve their contract as things speed away from them faster than they realise. And Go's solo contract has its own issues!

I like the characters in this story, they are struggling through life like the rest of us. Their choices have had consequences for them, for good or bad.
